KRAFTON, Inc. released update 17.2 for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS on all platforms. With it, the game introduces changes in the balance of weapons and combat accessories.
The update brings Arena 1v1 into Training Mode, as well as introducing changes to the Recon Scope, the 5.56mm Indicated Marksman Rifles (DMR) and the infamous Mortar, which was introduced with the Taego map.
A video explaining the update is available on the official PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS YouTube channel. Watch!

- Arena 1v1 in Training Mode: The 1v1 Arena is now available in Training Mode to welcome all types of combat practice in a suspenseful 1v1 setting. Players will be able to play solo combat or watch an intense battle and decide once and for all who is the best in the Squad.
- Update on tactical equipment: The Recon Scope and its automatic tag and follow enemy features have shown incredible performances. Therefore, enemy detection has had its radius reduced from 1km to 600 meters and the tag will no longer automatically appear in ADS mode.
- Weapon Balancing: The 5.56mm DMRs — specifically the MK12 and Mini14 — received some changes. After the last damage-related update, players found it difficult to utilize the MK12, so its recoil value has been improved to be in line with the stability of the Mini14. After the release of the Mortar, which is unique to Taego, the development team decided to implement more changes to unlock its true potential: the Mortar can now be installed on any terrain, except when the installation angle is not safe or underwater. The weapon will also be available on all maps except Haven in normal matches and will occupy the inventory slot.
