Google suggested an error in the payment platform Google Pay for which he made reward payments to some users ranging from $10 to $1,000, according to what they reported via Reddit.
Google has been transferring funds to some users for allegedly “internally testing the ‘software’ in beta prior to its official launch.”
One of the beneficiaries of this decision was analyst Mishal Rahman, who communicated via Twitter that he received $13.25 in compensation “for proof of money transfer experience Google Pay”.
Rahman was able to verify this payment in the Offers section Google Pay. In addition, he shared the experience of another user who claimed to have received about $100 in various transfers.
From my side, Google He contacted all those affected, to whom he sent an email confirming that it was an issue that “has been resolved and, where possible, the loan has been cancelled,” according to a screenshot of that message shared by an analyst.
The company commented that if the money given out by mistake has already been returned, this will affect the activity of the accounts of these users in Google Pay.
On the contrary, if it is impossible to return the credit – for example, because users have already spent it in other transactions – it will take over the costs. “The money is yours. No other action is required,” he stressed in a statement.
