Technology expert claims to have found a manifesto bitcoins hidden in his Poppy and note that they are on all these computers after the 2018 update.
Andy Baio believes that Mansana added “technical paper”, the name by which the currency roadmap is known, the document that launched bitcoins and it contributed to this cryptographic current over ten years ago.
That’s how he found it
“Today, while trying to fix my printer, I discovered that a copy of a PDF document from bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto,” Bayo says on his blog.
“Apparently it has shipped with every copy of macOS since Mojave in 2018,” he adds.
He said he asked over a dozen of his friends and fellow Internet users. Poppy for confirmation, and the document was for each one: a file named “simpledoc.pdf”.
If you have a Mac, you can open Terminate and enter the following command to find it: open /System/Library/Image Capture/Devices/VirtualScanner.app/Contents/Resources/simpledoc.pdf
For those using macOS 10.14 or later, the document should immediately open in Preview as a PDF file, he says.
What is the Bitcoin Manifesto?
The now-famous “white paper” titled “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System” was published in October 2008 by the still anonymous Satoshi Nakamoto. In it, the author lays out his thesis on the underlying mechanisms that govern what is now the world’s largest cryptocurrency by market value.
“A purely peer-to-peer version of e-money will allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another, bypassing the financial institution,” the summary reads.
Baio could not understand why, of all the documents, the original manifesto bitcoins to include it in the Apple operating system.
