The return of humanity to Moon is close and POT announced the first astronauts in 50 years to fly into its orbit as part of the mission Artemis II.
At a press conference, the space agency named the four crew members of the Orion capsule: Christina X Koch, Jeremy R. Hansen, Victor Glover And Reed Wiseman.
Astronauts who will fly to the moon
Artemis II is the second attempt POT for your project Sagebrush come back to Moon.
The first flight, which took place in 2022, placed the Orion capsule into lunar orbit to test whether it was indeed safe for the crew members.

Christina Hammock-Koch will be the first specialist in the crew. She visited the International Space Station in 2019 where she participated in the first all-female spacewalk. She worked her way up from an electrical engineer at the Goddard Space Flight Center.
Canadian Space Agency, Jeremy Hanson You will have your first mission as a space specialist. Prior to joining CSA, he was a fighter pilot and currently works with NASA astronauts in training.
Mission pilot Artemis II be Victor Glover. He will reprise his role on the first SpaceX-NASA Crew mission. He will fly around the moon in the Orion, and his record of 3,000 flight hours in more than 40 different aircraft confirms this.
The mission commander will Reed Wisemanwho lived and worked aboard the space station as a flight engineer in 2014. He also commanded the NEEMO21 underwater exploration mission and most recently led the joint astronaut team.
