On December 12 last year, a satellite from the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA filmed the rock formation.

The American interplanetary apparatus MRO – Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter captured an interesting fragment of relief on Mars. It resembles the face of a bear. This was reported by TASS.

Scientists from the University of Arizona, who analyzed the photo, saw the face of an animal.

“The image shows a hill with a V-shaped collapse structure (bear nose), two craters (eyes) and a circular crack (head),” the university said in a release.

At the same time, Business Insider wrote that the human brain tends to look for recognizable patterns in what the eyes see.

As an example, here’s a photo from 2019, also taken by MRO. The device then emblazoned the Red Planet’s surface with the Starfleet logo from the cult TV series Star Trek.

In addition, in 2011, a profile of the Indian politician Mahatma Gandhi was found on the map of Mars.

MRO has been in orbit around the Red Planet since 2005.

Land form on Mars

Recall that earlier the Curiosity rover discovered an opal gem on the Red Planet. Scientists from the University of Arizona, USA, believe that this is a potential source of water.

In the United States began the development of a nuclear engine to transport people to Mars
