T Mobileone of the largest telecommunications companies in United States of America and the whole world announced that once again it was the victim of a massive attack by hackers. The company indicated that these cybercriminals managed to gain access to the information of 37 million of its customers, including both prepaid and postpaid lines.
In a statement submitted last Thursday, January 19, before Security and Exchange Commission from United States of America, the company indicated that it has already begun the process of notifying all of its users affected by a major security breach. This new hack will be the second notable attack. T Mobile in less than two years.
Massive attack status on T-Mobile
In its report, the company emphasizes that the positive aspect of this situation is that customers’ sensitive financial information, such as credit cards and social security numbers, was not stolen during the attack. According to T Mobilecybercriminals could only access account data such as names, billing addresses, emails, phone numbers, dates of birth, and specific phone line details.

Losing Streak for T-Mobile
