Atlanta (AP) – Charlotte Hornet was sent back to the NBA Play -off arena on Wednesday against the Atlanta Hawks.
On the freight train, everything.
Trails run around the State Farm Arena, a remnant of a time when the area contained the city’s two main passenger stations. Both stations collapsed decades ago, but many of the surviving railroads are still frequented by freight trains running in downtown Atlanta.
One of the trains stopped at the intersection before the game, so the Hornets prevented the ‘hired buses from reaching the players’ entrance at the lower level of the arena.
Buses were forced to turn around and find an alternative route to the arena. It was delayed by about 15 minutes.
It seems to have slowed the Hornets ’attack. Atlanta beat Charlotte 132-103.
He clearly indicated that the Hawks had a connection to a freight train parked at the intersection.
“Let someone know. “I have no idea,” Borego said. “But our kids noticed it.”
He said the delay crushed the Hornets, however, the Hawks beat the Hornets 42-24 in the third quarter in a 12-minute draw, scoring 16 shots from 24 and 102-76 heading into the final.
The 10th seeded Hornets are trying to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
