This morning, the Nation’s Attorney’s Office upheld a 36-month travel ban against former Transport and Communications Minister Gainer Alvarado. According to Chief Prosecutor Marco Waman, Alvarado Lopez will be one of the leaders of the alleged criminal organization, which will be headed by the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo.
According to him Public serviceafter the head of state, there are four important sections that will follow him in the organizational chart of the criminal network.
The politburo includes Segundo Sánchez Sánchez, owner of the Breña house where Castillo resided during the 2021 general election; businessman Abel Cabrera Fernandez; the mayor of Angia, José Nenil Medina; and former adviser to the Ministry of Housing, Salatiel Marrufo Alcantara. The four make up a group close to the President known as “Chiclaiano´.
As for the president’s relatives, who, according to prosecutors, are First Lady Lilia Paredes; Yennefer Paredes, sister-in-law of Pedro Castillo; and Gian Marco Castillo, Fray Vasquez Castillo and Rudbel Oblitas Paredes, nephews leader.
In the so-called “cabinet under the canopy” is the Deputy Secretary General Office of the President Hips Camacho; Eder Viton Burga, former advisor to the technical department; Jorge Tarrillo Galvez, presidential security agents; and former councilor Auner Vasquez Cabrera. The group of former ministers linked to this alleged corruption network includes Juan Silva (transport and communications), Walter Ayala (defence) and Geiner Alvarado (housing). Similarly, former Petroperú CEO Hugo Chávez is included.
Beder Camacho, Eder Wheaton and Jorge Tarrillo are accused of hiding information. This group includes the head of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers (PCM), Anibal Torres.

Suspension hearing
During the hearing, Chief Prosecutor Marco Huaman indicated that “Pedro Castillo, on the recommendation of Abel Cabrera, appointed Gainer Alvarado in the housing portfolio. (These) appointments would be made in coordination with Sanchez and Medina, who would support the presidential campaign.
Representative prosecution also indicated that Protected Witness TP01-170-2022 and Effective Officer CE2 offered testimony that included more incriminating acts against Alvarado about accepting charges. In addition, he became aware of the visits of businessman Hugo Espino, whose companies are also connected to the alleged criminal network.

In response to Percy Ipanaka, Attorney Alvarado Lopez, announced that his sponsor would grant the government ministry’s request. This, says the lawyer, is a sign of good faith. “For the sake of this search for truth, my sponsor seeks to prove his innocence,” he stressed.
Until the end of the hearing Gainer Alvarado He mentioned that he is ready to cooperate with justice when required. For his part, Judge Juan Chekeli said that the prosecutor’s request would be satisfied “within the time period established by law.”
