Health Minister Jorge López noted that the check proposed by the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, for the access of cancer patients to drugs and comprehensive treatment, is a long-term budget. Lopez said some of the more than 4 billion salts promised by the president have already been invested, with 1,040 million to be used next year.

“We have to keep in mind that most of the 4 billion salts have been introduced this year. Next year we will have over 1040 (million) injections for what is called cancer. We must now see that this law crayfish which was born since 2013 with the Esperanza law was a bottomless law and only this year the budget is really introduced to what it is crayfish”, – said the head of the portfolio “Health”,

In addition, the head of Mins specified that the proposed amount would be directed to health centers. “The audit budget is the budget for hospitals, staffing and equipment,” he added.

The Childhood Cancer Law Collective called President Castillo’s breach of promise “a mockery.”

Last Wednesday, September 7, Child Cancer Law Collective spokesperson Carina Pujar noted that the government would ridicule cancer patients after pointing out that there were not enough funds to fulfill Pedro Castillo’s promise.

In an interview with included RNP Karina Pujar specified that on May 12, the head of state received children with cancer at the Government Palace in order to give them “a pinch of hope”.

“To date we have had meetings where we consulted when the check mentioned by the president will be included, this was in May, we are many months behind, it has been four months since he promised, and yet, they always told us what: no budget. By and large, we already suspected that this check had no funds,” he said.
