Superior Attorney Marita Barreto submitted a document this Wednesday to the Nation’s Attorney’s Office to investigate alleged wrongdoing in the removal and replacement of PNP Colonel Harvey Colchado of the Digimin Retrieval Division.
Also, the head of the Special Group for Combating Corruption of the Government indicated that Kolchado’s dismissal “contrary to the provisions of the Race Act and the situation of the personnel of the Peruvian National Police”.
Barreto, who is investigating the President Peter’s castle for allegedly being the leader of a criminal organization, he pointed out that the elimination of Colonel Colchado would be a usurpation of functions and an abuse of power. The higher prosecutor considered that there were “permanent obstacles to the activities of the Special Group”.
The document presented by Barreto indicates that the change of Colchado had permission from Digimin CEO Whitman Rios Adriansen.removed from office last Tuesday.
“These facts are arbitrary and harm the prosecution function of the prosecutor’s office,” the prosecutor says and demands the intervention of the prosecutor’s office.
Harvey Colchado was released and reinstated.
Around 20:00 last Monday, September 12, a document was released ordering the removal of PNP Colonel Harvey Colchado from his post as head of the Search Division (DivBus) of the Main Intelligence Directorate (Digimin). The letter was signed by Colonel Luis Sanchez Lira and ordered ordered the deployment of PNP commander Mario Alfredo Hidalgo Yen.
Less than five hours later, however, the Home Office announced that Harvey Colchado would not be removed from office and that the head of the ministry, Willy Huerta, had not authorized the application.
