The president Peter’s castle requested Congress of the Republic to allow his departure from the national territory from 6 to 8 August to travel to the city of Bogota in Colombia to attend the command ceremony of the country’s new head of state, Gustavo Petro.
This request was submitted this Monday, August 1, in a letter addressed to the President of the National Parliament. Lady Camoneswhich was signed by the Head of State and President of the Council of Ministers, Anibal Torres.
The document clarifies that the presence of the President of the Republic at this ceremony will strengthen the historical ties of brotherhood and cooperation between the two countries, give continuity to the bilateral working agenda aimed at identifying priority issues of mutual interest for the benefit of the population of both states.
Attached to the official letter is a draft legislative resolution authorizing the temporary departure of the head of state from the temporary territory on August 6, 7 and 8 this year, as well as an invitation from the Colombian Foreign Ministry to the President of Peru. .
