Ombudsman calls for investigation
In a statement Ombudsman asked the prosecutor’s office to “comprehensively” investigate the alleged connection between Yennefer Paredes with a government supplier.
“It is considered necessary to investigate the contractual or employment relationship between Yenifer Paredes and JJM Espino Engineering and Construction SAC, as well as friendly relations with its representative, and whether there is any connection between them and the provision of public works,” the document says.
“To this should be added information about the visits of a representative of a construction company to the Government Palace and his connection with the conclusion of government contracts for himself and companies associated with it,” he adds.
