Chairman of the Council of Ministers (PCM) officially, in accordance with the supreme decree published today in the “Official Gazette of El Peruano”, the departure Dmitry Senmashe Department of the Interior after being censored by Congress on June 30 as head of said sector.
The aforementioned decree states that “in connection with the resignation” of Senmashe “from the post of Minister of State in the Department of Internal Affairs”, the PCM accepts the said resignation and thanks him “for the services rendered to the nation”.
“A decision has been made to accept the resignation of Mr. Dimitri Nicholas Senmache Artol from the post of Minister of State in the Department of the Interior, thanking him for his services to the people”, the document says.
Censorship
Last Thursday, a plenary session of Congress approved the censorship of Dmitry Senmash as head of the Interior Ministry, arguing that a lack of managerial ability would have facilitated the escape of the former transport and communications minister.
