Liz Patricia Benavidez Vargas will assume from today as Attorney of the Nation for a period of three years (2022-2025), in accordance with the decree Council of the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office published in the imprint “Legal Rules” of the “Official Gazette of El Peruano”.
He stated that at an extraordinary meeting of the College of Supreme Prosecutors held on June 20, 2022, the election of the Prosecutor of the Nation took place, and the current Chief Prosecutor was elected to this position, Liz Patricia Benavidez Vargas.
The legal mechanism informs the constitutional President of the Republic, the President of the Congress of the Republic, the President of the Judiciary, the Minister of Justice and Human Rights and the President of the National Council of Justice of the resolution for their respective purposes.

The Protocol Act will take place at 9:30 am in the main hall of the Public Ministry, in Cercado de Lima.
Benavidez replaces Attorney General Pablo Sanchez, who has been in charge of the state ministry on an interim basis since the end of Soraida Avalos’ administration.
Prior to her election as a member of the College of Supreme Prosecutors, she served as Deputy Chief Prosecutor in the Office of the Nation’s Prosecutor’s Office. (Andean)
