The plenary session of the National Council of Justice (NCJ) unanimously decided to dismiss the lawyer Luis Arce Cordova as Chief Attorney General for his resignation of a government ministry representative to the National Jury for Elections (JNE) during the run-up to the 2021 general election.
As part of her speech in the context of the direct disciplinary process that began in this case, Dr. Inés Tello concluded that it was proven that Luis Arce Córdoba, by his letter of refusal, did not comply with the provisions of Article 16 of the Organic Law JNE which prohibits resignation.
