Abortion Rights Protestants Delay Joel Osteen’s Church Service –

Members of the National Organization for Abortion Rights protested at Joel Austin’s church as the country prepares for the Supreme Court to potentially overturn an important decision against Rowe Wade calling for national legalization of abortion.

Footage of a Sunday rally at Houston Lakewood Church posted on Twitter for Rise Up 4 abortion rights ReportIt shows three protesters stripping off most of their clothes and shouting, “This is my body, my king is the king’s chosen” after Austin closes his morning prayer.

In the trio, one woman shouted, “Spin the eggs, not hell” and another shouted, “I’m the one who says I am; I’m doing what I say I can do because I have a choice! ”Before they were released by the church lockers.

Coco Das, the organizer of Rise Up 4 for abortion rights, told HuffPost that the group protested the mega-church on behalf of church members who believe the right to abortion should not be taken away.

“Our non -violent actions are not against it [Osteen] O Lakewood Church, ”Dasma said. “We want to wake up people in the country and around the world. We urge people to stand up and take action against these dangerous steps. “

The protest by a group of activists was followed by an opinion poll published in May by Politico which suggested that the Supreme Court should overturn the massive decision. The court will make a formal decision in the coming weeks.

The coup against Rowe Wade will have an immediate ripple effect across the country for people who want to terminate their pregnancy, as at least 26 states are likely or inevitably to ban abortion once the decision is reversed.
