The plenary session of Congress approved in the first vote a bill proposing that June 7 of each year be declared a national holiday for the public and private sectors to commemorate the date of the Battle of Arica and Flag Day. The legislative proposal was approved with 91 votes in favour, two against, no abstentions.. Subsequently, it was voted for the rehabilitation of the second round, which was approved with the support of 82 congressmen.
