Denver (AP) – AT&T Sportsnet reporter Kelsey Wingert said she recovered after being hit by a line move in the back in the ninth inning of Colorado Rocha’s game against the San Francisco Giants last week.
“I took the 95 MPH line in my head,” Wingert said on Twitter, along with a photo from the series. Forehead seams.
Wingert, who covers the Rocky Mountains, was on camera Monday night at Dugout, Rocky’s first base. Giant winger Austin Slater smashed the ball to Daniel Bard of the Rockies and the ball hit Winger.
Wingerty said he spent five hours in the hospital where tests showed no fractures or internal bleeding. He said it “has internal and external points.”
Wingert also hit a tough ball in 2018 when he covered the Atlanta Braves for Fox Sports South. He broke his right eye socket when a rough ball from Philadelphia’s Odubel Herrera hit him.
