Former president’s lawyer Alexander Toledo he continues his legal strategy to try to delay his extradition to Peru. This time, journalist Liliana Michelena released a document in which the lawyer asks the Ninth Circuit of Appeals to temporarily suspend this procedure in order to be in time for a new trial.
The document, published by the journalist, notes that judicial protection Alexander Toledo asks for a prosecution procedure that requires an extradition treaty between both countries.
The information also recalls that at the hearing in March this year in the same court, the judge interpreted this petition as ambiguous.
