Congressman not part of the group (former Podemos Peru) Enrique Wong was suspended for 120 days in plenary session. Congress this Thursday, after the majority approved the report Ethics Commission who recommended action against a parliamentarian for involvement in an alleged influence peddling case

The report was approved by 65 votes to 28 with 24 abstentions after about two and a half hours of debate.

Enrique Wong A complaint was filed against him for allegedly interfering with the appointment of his parliamentary adviser, Manuel Talavera, to the board of the National Port Company (Enapu).

In August 2022 Ethics Commission approved the final report on Wong and recommended that the case be referred to the Parliamentary Subcommittee on Constitutional Charges for further consideration of the case.
