A delegation led by Defense Minister Jorge Chavez is already in the Tumbes region, in City of Puerto Pizarro, one of the areas most affected by constant rains. The governor of the said region is also on site, Segismundo Crucestake a walk with the head of the Ministry of Defense along the flooded and muddy streets.
Some authorities, such as the head of the National Civil Defense Institute (indecisive), Carlos Manuel Yanes Lazo; and congresswoman Maria CorderoTumbes’ representative in Parliament also came to Puerto Pizarro to meet the needs of the citizens.
Residents asked Minister Chavez for cars such as motorized pumps to extract all accumulated water through the streets. In the meantime, the head of Mindef will continue on his route to assess the situation the city is in later.

Hector Ventura: “We need equipment to clean rivers”
MP Hector Ventura, representative of Tumbes, lamented the effects caused by heavy rains in his region and urged the authorities to comply with river clean-up and flood prevention policies.
“The lack of managerial capacity, the lack of proper advice that is required today, and this is what I call on our authorities that are in power, our regional governor, our provincial mayors: to fulfill these functions and requirements, so that next year we will have the same most. We, as congressmen of the Republic, must exercise inspection control, political control.”, he said in an extension to RPP News.
“We need Tumbes for my region, for Rear Admiral Villar, Zarumilla, actually as the province of Tumbes, river cleaning machines, we need drinking water and health center reformNow that these floods have dried up, various diseases will spread, such as dengue fever, which causes a lot of harm to our children. We don’t have internet, so don’t even think that you will be doing virtual classes, because we don’t even have light, internet.”
