“We are going to open 16 schools across the country so that all citizens from all over the country, from the jungle, coast, mountains, north, center and south and all bloodlines can apply so that our national police force can be reinforced with new students, women and men. We must strengthen our national police”, – said the Head of State at the closing of the first decentralized regular meeting National Citizens’ Security Council (Conasec) his government.
Before that, he pointed out that Peru “he wants to live in peace” in the face of crime and criminal activities taking place in the country. “We are a group of people who want respect for power, the triumph of law, order and justice, the coordinated work of all state structures,” he added.
In this regard, he argued that the prosecutor’s office needs resources and a budget to advance the work, and for this reason there will be a meeting with the head of the IEF, “because we want to guarantee in this articulated work of institutions in relation to our society, that we must protect and preserve it”.
“The National Attorney stated that some resources or budget are not enough to move forward with the work. We will meet with our Minister of Economy and Finance to see this opportunity,” he said.
Reformulate the Criminal Code
Similarly, Boluarte Zegarra called on the National Penitentiary Institute (INPE) to carry out permanent requisitions in prisons.
The head of state said that it is also fundamental reformulate the Criminal Code to combat crime.
“I think that it is very important here that with the authorities Power of attorney and the judiciary, let’s see what is reformulated in our Criminal Code”, he expressed.
The President stressed that the authorities, gathered today in Conasec, must ensure the triumph of law, order, justice and the coordinated work of all state institutions.
“Just like we talk about the frontal fight against corruption, from here we mean zero tolerance for violence, zero tolerance for organized crime. Peru wants to live in peace, wants to work, the country wants to develop,” he concluded.
