Congresswoman of the Integrity and Development Caucus, Susel Paredesbelieves this Monday that general elections should be held at the end of this year.
In an interview program no turns from RPP TVsaid he hoped that when the new legislature began, Board of Directors Parliament to “postpone the reconsideration” to a vote so that the discussion of early elections can be resumed in the Constitutional Commission and then in the plenary session.
“What I don’t see in most congressmen right now is the desire to push the election forward. before i was alone [Jorge] Montoya, now I’ve heard a few more [parlamentarios]- he asked.
“We have to move forward with the election because we have to be aware that there were parliamentarians in this Congress who disappointed their constituents and citizens and that we didn’t do the oversight work that we should have done at the time,” he said. Susel Paredes.
Criticism of the Board of Directors
For his part, Perú Bicentenario legislator Guido Bellido criticized the current Board of Directors of the Congress, which is chaired by Joseph Williams (bench Avanza País), claiming that it is “parametrized” and “instrumentalized for political purposes”, which previously “devastated Pedro Castillo”.
“Now we see what his role is: to protect the acting executor,” he said.
Regarding the referendum to convene a Constituent Assembly to draft a new Constitution, he said that the issue of drafting a new Magna Carta is today “the agenda of the most remote nations.”
