congressmen popular action Ilyich Lopez and Luis Aragon confirm that their bench has made a decision vote against any initiative concerning the advancement of the elections. With this in mind, they argued that presidential succession should be observed in addition to the parliamentary period, which ends in 2026.
“As a parliamentary group, there have always been different opinions within the bench. The 14 parliamentarians did not always think alike. But it was also an agreement to be respected. We agreed that we must respect the constitutional order of succession. President Dina Boluarte,” said Luis Aragon in Ampliación de Noticias.
“We had a debate, an analysis of this procedure, and this decision was made in the People’s Action. It seems reasonable to me that the country respects democratic institutions. If the Constitution is not observed in a constitutional state of law, I think that we are in the degradation of the cultural/political process in the countries,” added Ilyich Lopez.
“We are in the process of coming out of the crisis”
On the other side, Lopez He noted that the political crisis and protests taking place in different regions of the country are close to being overcome, and also noted that there are political actors who intend to rule without winning elections.
“We are in the process of overcoming the crisis. “This criterion does not exist among my brothers from Cusco, but I respect the position my bench takes” finished.
