According to the latest Datum poll, published this Sunday in Perú21, 71% of the population of Peru wants the Congress of the Republic closed and President Dina Boluarte resigned.
The study shows that 76% disapprove of the work the president is developing. Dina Boluarteand 16% approve.
As for the popularity of Congressional Board President Jose Williams, the poll shows that 69% disapprove of his work.
Datum It clarifies that 37% of the population is upset about the protests taking place in the country, 23% are disappointed, threatened or affected, 6% are hopeful and 4% are indifferent or optimistic.
constituent Assembly
Regarding changes to the Political Constitution, 38% believe that some partial changes should be made, 29% are looking for a completely new text, 14% believe that most of the constitution should be changed, and 12% believe that the current Constitution should be supported, and 7 % don’t know.
As for the position with the constituent assembly, 56% are in favor of its introduction, 34% are against and 10% do not know.
In accordance with Datum17% of the population know that the function of the Constituent Assembly is to change the Constitution or some articles of the text. 12% believe that it serves to change laws or pass new laws, 10% believe that this is a place for dialogue in search of benefits for the country, and 6% believe that this is a place where people can be heard or problems solved for the country’s problems. 4% believe that it serves to elect new rulers or authorities and 2% to strengthen democracy or impose leftist ideology.
