The extent of the land declared intangible is 10.32 square kilometers and includes: Alfonso Ugarte Avenue, Via de Evitamiento, El Aguila and Cecilia del Risco patches, Prolongacion Tacna, Alcazar and Placido Jimenez Avenues, Paris Street, Nicolas Aillon Avenue, Via Grau Express, Paseo de la República, 28 de Julio Avenue, Guzmán Blanco, Brazil and Arica.

After the measure was approved, Mayor López Allaga singled out the Council Agreement, calling it a transcendent step towards making it a tourist attraction worldwide. It is important to note that the above agreement is supported by regulation 2195 and statements made by Constitutional Court.
In addition, the decision instructs the various organizations of the metropolitan commune to protect intangibility and work closely with the PPP and the Ministry of Culture.
For its part, the City Attorney’s Office will pursue appropriate legal action in cases that are contrary to the provisions contained in the Agreement, and in which there is evidence of damage to public property and infrastructure and urban amenities. This will guarantee the protection of the interests and rights of the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima within its powers and powers.
