Amber Heard went on to describe the violence she said she suffered at the arms of her ex -husband Johnny Depp when she testified the next day Thursday, sharing her position on an incident in which the Pirates of the Caribbean star said she threw a glass Heard bote. He cut off the tip of his finger.
The two actors described a bad scene of violence in an isolated rental house in Australia where Depp was filmed, but their versions of the incident differed significantly. Herd repeatedly said that night in March 2015 was “scary” and described it as the scariest thing he had ever experienced.
At the height of the violence, Herd said Depp would repeatedly penetrate inside with a bottle, and thus force the bone into his groin. When he stopped, he said he was afraid to move because he did not know if the bottle was broken or not. He bled and went to the bathroom to get up.
“I don’t think I should do that,” he said, while his lawyer apologized for asking him to share his alleged experience. “I have John’s bottle,” he said.
Herd said the incident began after Depp started drinking and took an unknown number of MDMA party drugs. The couple got married at this point in their relationship – they divorced in 2016 – but didn’t see each other for several weeks due to a busy work schedule.
He said when he pushed, he took a step back.
“Do you want to go, girl?” He asked Depp what Herd had said.
Depp would start to strike Herd, at one point throwing him on the ping pong table, which collapsed before he was hit again. At another point, Herd says he took an empty bottle of wine that Depp was teasing, threw it on the tile floor, and broke it.
“It looks like the lamp switch was turned off. Start shouting. “I don’t know if he hit me again or if he just hit me normally. I don’t really remember, but I do remember him hitting me on the ground, ”Herd shouted.
“I remember when I got up from the ground, I stood up, he was holding a bottle. He threw it at me. Luckily, I lost it, but somehow I backed away … at one point he had a cracked bottle on my face, on my neck, near the jaw line. “He told me my face was cut off,” she said.
“Honestly, I don’t remember his direction when I shot him. “I don’t think I did,” Herd said. “I just remember wearing it with pajamas. I remember how he swam, waved, slept. This happened after several bottles broke on the floor. It was then – again, forgive me, I wanted to remember the sequence, but it was flashes – he shot these bottles.
Depp said he didn’t hurt Herd or any woman. Instead, Herd hit a broken bottle inside a house in Australia and broke the tip of his finger. In a one -day testimony, Depp stood up and spread his fingers in front of the courtroom, showing what the doctors had done.
The rental home manager testified last month about finding Depp’s fingertip on a bloody paper napkin.
But Herd said he was just trying to run away from Depp and protect himself.
“At one point, I was leaning against the wall and he was shouting that he was mad at me. “I ruined his life,” Herd testified. In another, he said, Depp took off his nightgown and undressed.
After the attack, Herd said the house was thrown in the trash, where empty bags of cocaine were scattered. Photos shown in court showed blood scratches on the floor, messages reflected in the paint, and what Herd says was blood from Depp’s broken finger on the walls, sofa, lampshade and other furniture. Herd said the mashed potatoes were “whole” on the wall, along with other foods, including slices of raw steak wrapped in pieces of his sleeping bag.
“It was obvious that he was just smart. “He wrote in the blood on the back of the pillow,” Herd said. “He looks like he’s bleeding … he wasn’t bleeding enough and he went to get the paint, it turned into paint and blood.”
Depp has spoken openly in the past about fighting alcohol and drug addiction, but has insisted that his ex -wife has never abused him – on the contrary, he says he has abused her. He said his offensive allegations were “disgusting” and “not based on any kind of fact”.
Testimony from both plaintiffs came as part of Depp’s defamation lawsuit against Herd in a Washington Post editorial from 2018 that he wrote with attorneys for the American Civil Liberties Union, in which he described himself as a survivor of domestic violence.
On the same day, Herd said in testimony Wednesday that the people who helped manage Depp’s career ignored his misconduct and helped him cover up, such as changing dirty clothes after his death.
On Thursday, he recounted an accident on a private jet in 2014 where Depp confronted him in scenes he shot with actor James Franco for the film “Aderall Diaries,” which was released in 2015.
“He called me Slukun,” she said. Herd described several cases during his testimony in which Depp accused him of cheating on him with someone else.
On the plane, he said he was trying to distance himself from Depp, who started “throwing things like that … ice cubes, plates”. Then, he said, he slapped it in the face while the couple’s friend sat down. People who worked at Depp were also on board, he said. When Herd stood up, Depp kicked him in the back, knocking him to the floor of the plane, he said.
“No one said. Nothing has been done yet. You can hear the pin drop on that plane. “You felt tension, but no one did anything,” he said.
During the accident in Australia, Herd said that after Depp’s protection helped him, he removed his penis and said he wrote messages in his urine. Herd recalled that the security guards were having fun.
Depp smiled in the courtroom when his ex-wife mentioned urination.
Herd described several scenes of violence throughout the day, including one in which he said he was hit so hard in the face that he thought he had broken his nose. Depp accused him of flirting with another woman, he said.
Elsewhere, Herd said Depp grabbed her by the hair and dropped her on her back in a hotel room during a press tour of Depp’s 2015 film “Mortdecai.” She cries as she recalls checking photos of her appearance on the red carpet on the Internet as she takes off a dress cloak and worries about bruises or marks on the photos.
Depp and Heard were married in a civil ceremony at Depp’s mother’s home in Los Angeles, and then flew to the actress ’private island for a party and a beach party with friends and family. Even though he was richer than her, Herd said Depp rejected the idea of creating a prenup.
“He said the only solution was death,” he said of their marriage.
The hearing is expected to resume screening next week.
