CPI CEO Omar Castro said this Friday that changing the Political Constitution or creating a Constituent Assembly is not a priority for the population, according to the latest results of his poll released Jan. 30.
IN News Extension, Omar Castro recalled that, according to a recent study, 33.3% of the population demanded the resignation of the president Dina Boluarte; 11%, changing the political constitution; 8.1% to call new general elections; and 1.7%, constituent Assembly.
“According to our results, changing the Constitution or creating or creating a constituent assembly is not a priority for the country today when we asked about it,” he said.
Omar Castro He believed that some congressmen “much more interesting” interpret the need to change the Political Constitution to resolve the crisis in the country.
“In particular, I feel that constitutional reforms should be carried out, but after technical debates on certain issues. Expecting that in these moments of political crisis in the country they will talk about the need, priority in the creation of a constituent assembly or constitutional reforms are not a priority for the population today, this is not reflected in our results, and this is due to the fact that there are other shortcomings that require much more clear decisions from the executive and legislative authorities, which the population does not feel,” he insisted.
Economic Chapter of the Constitution
On the other side, Omar Castro He indicated that, according to private and undisclosed research, he could dare to point out that the population does not understand the economic conditions set by the Political Constitution very well. For this reason, he stated that constitutional reform must begin with the education of the population about what is contained in the Magna Carta.
“I don’t want to go to extremes by saying that people don’t read the constitution or don’t know it. I don’t want to say it. But it is clear to us that there are many people who do not understand what this refers to the economic chapter of our Constitution. Most people tend to to some extent repeat the interpretations given by political groups, depending on their ideological position, regarding the economic chapter of the Constitution, and they also tend to attack themselves for it,” he said.

Espacio Vital: Dr. José Suárez Reyes, neurologist and head of the department of neurodegenerative diseases at the National Institute of Neurological Sciences, said involuntary movements are considered rare and may be neurological in origin or secondary to another type of disease. He explained that neurological movements include tremors, dystonia (sprains), and myoclonus (hiccough-like shaking). A specialist in involuntary movements pointed out that they distinguish between a resting tremor when a person does not make any movements, and an intentional tremor when moving.
