The National Council of Justice (JNJ) decided to acquit the president of the judiciary, Javier Arevalodisciplinary process against him for allegedly knowing that his brother was employed in National Electoral Jury (JNE).
As established by said disciplinary proceedings, Armando Arevalobrother of the head of the judiciary, worked at JNE between 2017 and 2018.

At the last hearing in this case, which took place yesterday, Wednesday, the justice of the peace Henry Avila He was responsible for presenting Disciplinary Proceeding No. 062-2022-JNJ against the President of the Judiciary.
In this presentation Avila recommended that Javier Arevalo be acquitted, arguing that there were no objective elements to show that the then Chief Justice knew that his brother had contracted with JNE.
This recommendation was supported by the members of that body, Maria Zavala, Ines Tello And Aldo Vasquezwho, by unanimous vote, specified their position regarding certain grounds for the said acquittal.
With this in mind, the plenum of the SNA unanimously decided to complete the disciplinary proceedings and acquit the judge. Javier Arevalo Velathe current president of the judiciary, about the charges brought against him in this case.
