With 44 votes in favour, 71 against and 2 abstentions, the plenary session of the Congress approved the initiative of Peru Libre, Bloque Magisterial, Peru Bicentennial, Peru Democrático and Cambio Democrático, which proposes to summon Foreign Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi. The petition’s interpellation document specifies that the chancellor must respond, among other things, to the expulsion of the Mexican ambassador to Peru, Pablo Monroy.

“The interpellation petition has been accepted. It will be agreed with the Minister of Foreign Affairs to determine the date when it will go to Congress,” Parliament Speaker Jose Williams said.

The document presented to the Legislative Assembly indicates that the decision to oust Pablo Monroy was arbitrary because it could jeopardize diplomatic relations with the Mexican government and its president, Manuel Andrés López Obrador.

4.- What was the motive and purpose of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru in promoting and leading the formation of the Lima Group in relation to the Venezuelan case?

12.- What kind of reaction does the Office of the Government of Mexico hope to achieve by declaring Pablo Monroy Cones, Ambassador of Mexico to Peru, persona non grata, and what initiative will it take in this regard?

16.- What was the purpose of informing the Mexican government about the alleged procedural history of Ms. Paredes, did the Ministry of Foreign Affairs intend to deny her political asylum?

25.- What investigative actions are the government taking regarding the deadly results of state repression, or do you think that it is the responsibility of the demonstrators for the protests and the need to restore the principle of power and internal order, as originally claimed by the Minister of Defense, now the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, and the then Minister of the Interior ?
