The head of the White House will hold an online meeting with the President of Ukraine and today’s European leaders.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will now talk to European leaders and US president Donald Trump. Three separate online meetings planned. Reuters reported this on Wednesday, August 13.
Zelensky and European leaders will meet with Trump in a virtual format in front of his summit with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
According to the German government representative, Trump’s video conference with Zelensky and European leaders is now expected at 12:00 in Greenwich (15:00 in KYIV). It was attended by the leaders of Germany, Finland, France, Britain, Italy, Poland and the EU. Also at the online meeting will participate in the NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
After that, Trump and US vice-president Jay Di Venus will talk to European leaders at a separate online meeting, planned at 13:00 in Greenwich (16:00 at KYIV).
Then, at 14:30 in Greenwich (17:30 hours of KYIV), the online conference of “coalitions of the desired” will be held, working on Ukraine support plans in case of stopping.
“A resource familiar with internal discussions in the United States said it was impossible to exclude the possibility that Trump would try to end a deal directly with Putin without the participation of Ukraine or Europe. But the resource expressed doubt about it, mentioned that it could create problems with Kiev and the EU,” Reuters’ letter.
Remember, on August 15, a Trump and Putin meeting will be held in Alaska. Earlier, the US president suggested that a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine could provide a “specific exchange of territories”, but at the same time promised that Ukraine would return to part of the territories.
Zelensky denied any territorial concessions, emphasizing that Ukraine would not provide its lands to the Russian Federation.
