According to L’Equipe, at the time of restraint, the athlete succeeded more than 17.6 thousand km, with about 600 km along the route compared to the previous world record – 64 days and 2 hours established by German Yonas Deikhman.
“To fail very close to the goal is terrible,” Sekhili wrote, adding that he now has 10 months to decide if he wants to try to set this record again.
