A woman with 26 thefts to her credit breaks into a New York celebrity’s Upper East Side penthouse.
Hollywood actor Robert De Niro was the victim of 30-year-old serial robber Shanice Aviles. He tried to steal presents from under a Christmas star, Page Six reports.
During the robbery, the actor slept upstairs with his 11-year-old daughter.
Interestingly, all this time, NYPD officers were chasing Aviles. They watched him enter the house and followed him.
Police found that in addition to the star’s gifts, the attacker also used De Niro’s iPad.
The owner of the house awoke from the noise downstairs and slipped into her dressing gown. He was shocked.
