First Lady Olena Zelenska congratulated the Ukrainians in St. Nicholas Day, which is celebrated today, December 19.
In particular, Volodymyr Zelensky’s wife on her Instagram page published a photo of a letter written by a child to St.
“Dear Saint Nicholas, help the Armed Forces of Ukraine to reach Rubizhne,” the letter said.
Elena Zelenskaya also shared other requests with St. Nicholas. So, eight-year-old Evelina asked to bring clothes and food to the soldiers, young Anton said that his father died in the war.
“These are letters from children to St. Nicholas, published on social networks by volunteers and mothers. Letters in which children must ask for sweets, toys and gadgets – everything that is generally wanted of children all over the world. But they ask dad or brother to come home. warm clothes and a power bank, and without exception, all the children ask Nikolai for success,” he wrote.
At the same time, he noted that it is difficult to read these letters without tears, because children should not know what war is.
“On St. Nicholas Day, I most of all want the world that children ask to return to our homes as soon as possible, and with it the carefree desires of children, the pleasant happy the busyness of adults and the ordinary life that should be the norm for children, not a miracle,” the First Lady of Ukraine spoke about her desire.
