“Finally, I can share with you the details of my visit to the States, because until then the event should be a surprise for absolutely everyone. I was invited to sing the legendary song “Walk On” by U2 with Hozier and Brandi Carlile at the main event of the year in America – 45th Annual Kennedy Center Honors I am honored to share the stage with the undisputed legends of music history, performing the hit hits of the phenomenal band U2. Always I will remember Bono’s words: “When I listened to you sing, I flew into space,” he shared.
At the same time, the artist added that the most important thing for him was the opportunity to perform the anthem of Ukraine and remind the audience of three thousand about the entire war on the territory of our country.
“But the most important thing for me today is that we talked about our home again. With the song U2, I sang the lines of the Ukrainian anthem, and at the same time reminded the audience of three thousand about the darkness. About what Russia is doing to our lives. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to hear. The support in the hall and behind the scenes gives extraordinary confidence that in this fight we are not alone in the fight. They do not have right to forget us,” summed up the performer.
Recall that Volodymyr Zelenskyy met the singer Jamala on the eve of his trip to the United States.
