Arcane means something secret, occult or mysterious. The Major Arcana are used in Tarot to represent human archetypes, their desires, their ideas and learnings. They are representations of important events in life and refer to the abstract and subjective mind.
Arcanum of the Month of December
Arcanum 19 – The Sun was the card drawn from my Tarot, with the intention of bringing us the main energy that will reverberate throughout the last month of 2022. Most of us may have experienced more challenging moments in recent months. In November, the call was precisely for recollection and introspective analysis. Now, the tarot surprises us with totally radiant energy, a beautiful and immense Sun in an atmosphere of joy and expansiveness.
The Sun represents a phase of success
I understand this as a reward for those who knew how to make the deep dive into introspection, facing and dealing with the shadows along the way. The Sun now represents a phase of success and completion. It’s really special to receive this Arcanum to end this cycle! So, this month, accept Tarot’s invitation and enjoy the energy available…
At the level of thoughts or mental attitudes, the Sun comes to bring awareness and clarity. It is time to rescue the essential truth that exists in us and some questions can guide our reflections:
- How have your thoughts been for most of this year? How did you express them all?
- How do you recognize yourself now? Does your process so far match what you want to accomplish in the next cycle?
- How do you genuinely expose what you are in essence?
For many, this Arcanum may represent a moment of success on a material level as well. Projects that close a prosperous cycle and bring fulfillment! Financial success?! Yea! All dedication and effort, even on challenging days, will be rewarded with the arrival of this Letter.
What does this tarot card have to teach us?
The face of this letter that most strikes my attention, and which I want you to look at now, is its simplicity! Remember that the child in this card also represents spontaneity. Contentment with simple things is something very natural and noticeable in childhood.
What would it be like if we closed the year recognizing more the joy that exists in simple moments? When this card comes up, it’s up to reflection on how much we’ve allowed ourselves to live this contentment, flow in the flow of life and recognize small joys.
Opportunity to close cycles
I believe that the message of the Nineteenth Arcanum comes as a comfort after cloudy times, but also as a unique opportunity to end a cycle and start over from a new perspective and with different attitudes. To the wise and awake, the opportunity will not go unnoticed!
I wish that 2022 ends with more understanding about ourselves, about our true essence, bringing to light the freedom to be and express what we are.
