Expert in trichology explained different techniques that help in this process
Recently, the influencer Thaís Braz announced that it has started a microneedling treatment to accelerate hair growth in the receding hairline and new hairline.
In her social networks, the ex-BBB said she was dissatisfied with the pace of hair growth and therefore resorted to the procedure. “The entrances I always had. It reduced the size of the forehead, but they continued”, told his followers.
Just like the influencer, many women are bothered by the time it takes for their hair to grow, especially when it comes to areas of the scalp that have flaws.
Second Patricia Marquesa plastic surgeon who is a member of the SBCP (Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery), a pioneer in the technique of frontoplasty in Brazil and a specialist in trichology, currently there are several treatments indicated to solve the problem, but, first of all, the ideal is to make an evaluation with a professional.
“The accurate diagnosis is fundamental for the treatment to be really effective. After this evaluation, we determine which treatments need to be adopted according to each need”, stated.
In addition to microneedling, the treatment chosen by Thaís, there are several other options that help in this process.
Meet some of them:
Mesotherapy: application of injections of vitamins and enzymes into the scalp. Acts directly at the root of the problem, causing the follicles to produce more hair, which will be stronger and denser;
led therapy: uses different types of lights to stimulate the oxygenation of the scalp and stimulate hair growth;
MMP (Microinfusion of Medicines in the Skin): technique that inserts active drugs directly in the place where the patient wants improvement;
Topical treatments: carried out with shampoos and lotions that help in hair growth;
Oral supplements: made with vitamins and minerals that accelerate the hair growth process.
It is worth noting that the treatment is only effective if performed where the patient already has hair.
“Where there are no hair follicles, none of these treatments produce new strands. In these cases, other techniques are needed, such as a hair transplant, for example”concluded the expert.
