LE FIGARO. – What kind of watches are the most successful in your collections?
Pierre BURGUN (CEO of Pierre Lannier): – Automatic watches! In terms of sales, we have always been among the top brands. But what allowed us to take off was being one of the first in the €200 automatic watch range, first for men and then for women. We really made a difference because there was almost nothing else in this price range. This already represents 30% of our turnover and we are attacking the German market. All our bestsellers are automatic models. It is still the basis of watchmaking. Our watches are aesthetic first, not technical. Customers appreciate the skeletal finish (allowing the movement to be seen through the dial, Ed.).
