The actor noted that throughout Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, obtaining citizenship has become a major issue.
Diesel Studio star Yevgeny Smorygin admitted that previously obtaining Ukrainian citizenship was not a serious issue for him, however, since the start of a full-scale war, everything has changed. He spoke about it in the Slava + program.
“When the war started in 2014, it was not a serious problem for me. Because I understood that I am a Belarusian, I am not a Russian. The conflict with Russia, on the side of Russia. Belarusians are always brothers for those Ukrainians . These are not just words. I know, I have been living like this in Ukraine for 15 years as a Belarusian and I never once said: “Ah, you, Belarusian …” No, for me it is not a acute question, but when the troops left my native Belarus and rockets flew over my house in Ukraine… It became a serious issue for me,” he explained.
At the same time, the artist noted that it was not Belarusians who did this, but Lukashenka. The artist noted that none of his friends and relatives support the self-proclaimed president, but the citizens of Belarus have no right to speak about it.
“Of all my acquaintances, I have not met a single person. Not one. All my friends and relatives – no one supports. But they have no right to indicate this. In 2020, they want to show something, but there is not enough toughness. Belarusians are still good people,” summed up Yevgeny Smorygin.
It was previously reported that Evgeny Smorigin, who was born in Belarus, admitted that he wanted to get a passport of a citizen of Ukraine.
Smorygin said how well he passed the exam
