Residents of Kherson celebrated the end of the 256-day occupation in the city’s central square.
Ukrainian TV presenter Dmitry Komarov visited occupied Kherson. On Instagram, he shared his impressions of the meeting with the townspeople and said how people rejoiced at the departure of the Russian invaders.
Komarov appeared in a photo with patrol police officers at the entrance to Kherson, in his hands he held the symbol of the region – a watermelon.
The journalist also joined the crowd at the rally in support of Ukraine.
“The atmosphere is incredible. Positive. Happiness is in the eyes of the people. Happy vacation, a wonderful city of wonderful people! The nightmare called “Russia” for Kherson is eternal in past. Currently, there is a crowded central square of happy people who confidently look to a happy future with Ukraine “A low bow to our heroes – the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Troops, the Main Intelligence Directorate, the National Guard, the Police, the Security Service, the Border Guards, the SSO and all defenders from other structures and units.
