The pro-Kremlin artist says that Empress Catherine II came up with the name for the city.
Russian rock singer Yulia Chicherina, who has supported Russia’s aggression against Ukraine since 2014, made up her own story about the origin of the name of the Ukrainian city of Kherson. He posted a video on Telegram.
“Ekaterina II was driving somehow towards the Crimea. She wanted to sleep. She stopped on the bank of the Dnieper, the Cossacks built a tent for her, a camp for herself. She slept. Meanwhile, the Cossacks is drinking, eating and quiet: gal-gal-gal, Katerina to them: “Shut up! I want to sleep.” The Cossacks seemed to fall silent. And again: gal-gal-gal, any-any. “Silence! I want to sleep.” And this went on all night. And Catherine called this place Kherson!” said the propagandist.
At the same time, he appeared in the video with a machine gun, from which he immediately began to shoot.
Recall that a few years ago, Chicherina received a “DPR passport”. And in May 2017, he received a “passport” of the separatists “LNR”. The fake “document” was given to him by the so-called head of the “Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LNR”, Igor Kornet.
