An actor serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine participates in the Cultural Landing Force with other co-stars.
Ukrainian performer Alexander Yarmak, who has been in the war zone since the first days of a full-scale war, tells how he writes songs. He said this in an interview with Military Television of Ukraine.
According to him, there is not always enough time for creativity, however, he fixes important moments in his memory, which he then puts into his compositions. For example, the death of his colleagues.
“During these months of war, I experienced a lot. I cried when I lost friends. It hurts. There are songs born from pride. Look, you are proud of people where every fighter is ready to give his life for his country. It gives real emotion. I try to write while standing, you have time to write a few lines … Then you go out to the studio and record a song … Now I understand the cultural responsibility and how powerful every word should be,” the rapper added.
At the same time, Yarmak said that the guys at the front were not interested in music, but he continued to sing anyway.
“At some point, I myself was in that state when you’re ready to die a hero. You crossed the line within yourself, and it’s bad. You have to live like a hero, win like a hero, continue your heroic family and teach it,” summed up musician.
Earlier it was reported that Oleksandr Yarmak, who has been defending Ukraine’s independence on the front line since the beginning of the war, warned about the difficult phase of the war.
