After the presentation of a unique development, created by 20 organizations, the company’s shares increased by 7.8%.
South Korean display manufacturer LG Display Co. introduced a flexible display capable of stretching 20% of its original size. This was reported by the company’s press service.
The display can be folded, collapsed and stretched. It changes from the original 12 inches to 14 without losing its characteristics.
In addition, the display supports a resolution of 100 pixels per inch.
It can be used on any device and can also be attached to fabric, furniture and leather.
“The South Korean display maker also used 40 micrometer or smaller LEDs as a light source, making its stretchable display maintain its resolution from external effects,” the company said in a statement.
The development of the flexible display began in 2020. 20 organizations are engaged in it. The project will end in 2024.
Recall that earlier the Craob startup introduced an unusual ultra-thin Craob X laptop, where there is no external connector.
