The First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska spoke at UNICEF Ukraine’s strategic session focused on psychological rehabilitation and psychosocial support for children and youth during the war. He announced it on Instagram.
According to him, thousands of Ukrainian children suffer from pain, suffering, loss of homes, loss of loved ones, they see death and risk themselves and grow up early.
The first lady recalled the story of eight-year-old Bogdan from Bakhmut: “The boy’s parents were killed by the Russian attack. of thought: Bogdan, as an adult , understood everything…”.
Zelenskaya also noted that Ukraine needs to protect children’s mental health. He emphasized that this is a major goal of the National Program for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support.
