WhatsApp users around the world started complaining about problems with the American messenger. According to Downdetector, the complaints come from the United States, Switzerland, Israel, Spain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia.

Difficulties with the operation of the application also appeared for some users in Ukraine and Russia.

Statistics show that 86% of WhatsApp users cannot send messages, and 12% do not have a working application at all, another 3% have a website.

What caused the problem is still unknown.

Earlier, WhatsApp was ordered to pay a fine of 225 million euros for lack of transparency in the processing of personal data.
