The musician usually doesn’t talk about his help, but he hopes his work will inspire others.
The famous British musician Rod Stewart told how he helps Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees, in particular, a large family with five children. The Mirror writes about it.
The star takes care of two adults Rostislav and Elena and their children, including: 17-year-old Taras, 16-year-old Kostya, 13-year-old Roman, 10-year-old Maria and two-year-old Dmitry.
Stuart gave them a house in Berkshire, furnished them and even paid the Ukrainians’ bills.
“I walked in the door and they all ran down the stairs, all dressed beautifully in the Ukrainian national costume. They made me a cup of tea and we had lots of cookies and chocolate, although the boy kept trying to steal mine. It’s really amazing,” he said.
In addition, the musician provided work for two other refugees from Ukraine at his estate in Essex.
Right now, he is thinking about buying another house where he can take another Ukrainian family.
The musician was deeply moved by the horrors taking place in Ukraine. After the start of a large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he organized three trucks with humanitarian aid for war victims and evacuated 16 people from Ukraine to Berlin.
Recall that the previous President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, spoke with the British actor, star of the movie Sherlock Holmes – Benedict Cumberbatch, who sheltered the Ukrainians.
