The First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska told the tragic story of the rehabilitation of 15-year-old Ivan Chaban from the Sumy region. The man’s leg was run over by a Russian tank. Zelenskaya said about it on Instagram.
According to him, Chaban, thanks to his stubbornness in the three-day prosthetics, achieved such results that other patients strive for in a few weeks.
The doctors of the Peter Harsch Prosthetics clinic did not hide their admiration for his positive stubbornness and thirst for healing. They admitted that they had never seen such a patient in the entire history of their work.
“The progress that others achieved after prosthetics in a few weeks, the Ukrainian guy, thanks to his persistence, received in three days,” said Zelenskaya.
Chaban is currently receiving medical care in San Diego, California. There he was taught to surf with a prosthesis.
“Here, in the USA, he is a real star. Five stories have already been filmed about a Ukrainian teenager who climbed the stairs on the sixth day after prosthetics – journalists call him nothing but a hero . And they admire her stubbornness and courage. – in fact, like other Ukrainians,” added the first lady.
