In May, the Kalush Orchestra with the song Stefania won first place at the 66th Eurovision Song Contest.
The winners of the international song contest Eurovision-2022, the Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra, said how much money they raised at charity concerts in European cities. They announced it on their Instagram page.
According to the musicians, they managed to raise 54 million hryvnias, while in addition to collecting money, the team conveyed the truth about the full-scale war unleashed by Russia.
“We traveled almost all of Europe to show our unique ethnic code, the Ukrainian culture and raise money in support of Ukraine! We raised 54 million hryvnias! Now our goal is to do it on a larger scale in the US and Canada !”
The band’s frontman admitted that this is the first trip to the US and Canada. However, this does not scare them, because the world should know how strong Ukrainians are.
“This is the first trip for our group to the USA and Canada. We must show the whole world how strong Ukrainians are and convey it through our music! Our goal is to make Ukrainian music sound all over the world, so that our culture is recognized as much as possible. Also, I want as many people as possible to learn about our concert tour, attend concerts and donate to the fund for helping Ukraine,” concluded Oleg .
Earlier it was reported that the Kalush Orchestra, which together with Sergei Prytula sold the cup for 900 thousand dollars, received a new one.
