The Meta leader revealed his new meta versioned avatar with legs at the company’s Connect event.
The American programmer and Metaverse founder Mark Zuckerberg for the first time showed his avatar from the metaverse in full growth. This was reported by The Independent.
The entrepreneur noted that full avatars will be implemented later this year on phones and virtual reality headsets, calling them “more expressive and detailed.”
In the past, avatars did not have this feature, he said, because it was more difficult to accurately create body parts such as legs in virtual reality.
“Legs are hard to make, so they can’t be used in other VR systems,” Zuckerberg said.
The company announced that the new footed avatars will launch in Meta’s Horizon Worlds, a virtual playground for creators.
“First, the legs will be at Worlds so we can see how it goes. Then, as the technology improves, we’ll start bringing legs to other games,” the company said.
