Poland awarded this award to the Ukrainian people for defending freedom, justice and democracy.
The First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska attended the opening of the Warsaw Security Forum. He gave a speech and received an important award presented by Poland to the Ukrainian people.
He was awarded the Knight of Liberty Award. The award is given in Poland to those who contribute to the defense of freedom, justice and democracy.
“I had the honor to receive it at the Warsaw Security Forum – for all of you, dear compatriots. For those who protect, volunteer, save, support, believe. For all who bring us closer to our victory,” said Zelenskaya.
He also added that there is a well-known Polish slogan: “For us and your freedom.”
“This is exactly what Ukraine and Ukrainians are doing today. On behalf of our compatriots, thank you to Poland for this recognition. For ours and your freedom, dear friends!” said the first lady.

Earlier, during her visit to Turkey, Zelenskaya met the first lady of this country Emine Erdogan, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and took part in the launching ceremony of the Hetman corvette Ivan Mazepa, built for Ukraine.
